My Presentation on Second Life

http://www.slideboom.com/presentations/239550/Second-Life

My computer was slow in allowing me to move from slide to slide in PowerPoint. Therefore, there is a slight delay between slides at times. Also, I recorded Second Life and for some reason when the file converted from PowerPoint to SlideBoom, the video was lost. I have uploaded it as a separate file below.

  1. Hi Linda:

What I could pull up was a great take on manipulating Second Life - but it is possible that this program may be proprietary and doesn't take to well to being included in a video. You might try Movie Maker, which comes with the MicroSoft Office Suite. Let me know if you need some help with this. Also, I'm not sure what your topic was supposed to be. Technology is so exacting, and believe me, I know how difficult it is to edit videos! Call me on Skype if you need any help. (chrisbw31).

  2. I apologize Sara. I had a "senior moment" and accidently addressed you as Linda. Please pardon me. I do think your presentation has great potential.

  3. Thanks Chris. Actually, I just found a program that will allow me to convert the file from MP4 to SWF. I need it to be a Flash file in order to insert it into my presentation. That is the only way iSpring will include it in the movie.

  4. Sara,

I look forward to seeing more on your video. Is there another link I can access?

  5. Sara,

I have never heard of Second Life until attending Walden, and this is my first time acquiring any information at any depth. I watched your video on Slideboom, and you have aroused my curiosity. I certainly will be researching Second Life further to ascertain its benefits to my students. How long have you been involved with this program?

  6. Sara, this was an excellent choice for your presentation. The ride was bumpy at the beginning, because of the the transition. Second life is a little too PG-13 for my middle school students, but this presentation was an excellent resource for everyone to learn from? Was there an audio portion?

  7. I was not certain of the actions your avatar was trying to convey. You could have created a Walden University virtual world.
